Clear Band Lashes: The Seamless, No-Magnet False Eyelash

Youthphoria Crystal Clear lash compact and Crystal Clear Adhesive Liner on clear glass blocks

Clear band lashes are false eyelashes with a transparent band and no magnets. They attach with our Crystal Clear Adhesive Eyeliner, a clear liner that dries invisible and holds the lash to your lid. Because the band is see-through and there are no magnet dots along it, there is no dark line sitting above your lash line. From the front you see lashes, not a strip.

They are the most forgiving lashes we make. If you place one slightly off, there is no visible band to give it away.

How clear band lashes attach without magnets

Every other lash in our range works with magnets. Clear band lashes do not. Instead of magnetising to an iron oxide liner, the clear band is bonded to your lid by a film forming polymer in the clear liner. You swipe the liner along your lash line, wait for it to turn clear, then press the lash on.

This is why clear band lashes need the clear liner specifically. A magnetic liner has nothing to grip on a band with no magnets in it.

The four clear band styles

Clear band lashes, all $39, all reusable
Lash Band width Lash length Style Best for
Modest 27mm 7 to 10mm Wispy, round, criss-cross A complete everyday lash line
Dream 27mm 8 to 12mm Wispy, round, criss-cross A soft, slightly longer flutter
Fantasy 30mm 5 to 9mm Wispy, round, criss-cross The shortest, for replacing a sparse lash line
Humble 30mm 8 to 11mm Flared, 3D Russian volume A clear band with a cat-eye finish

All four are Luxe faux mink. Modest, Fantasy and Humble sit comfortably behind glasses. Dream is the one to skip if you wear frames, because at 8 to 12mm the tips can brush the lens.

If you are buying your first pair, the Crystal Clear Lash Kit at $74.80 pairs your choice of style with the clear liner, which is the combination you need.

Who clear band lashes suit best

Anyone who wants the band to disappear. If a visible lash line is the thing that makes false lashes look false to you, this is the range that solves it.

Anyone with very few natural lashes of their own. A clear band adheres to your eyelid skin, not to your natural lashes, so it does not need lashes underneath to hold on to. That matters if you are going through chemotherapy, living with alopecia, or have lost lashes to extensions. Fantasy is the shortest at 5 to 9mm and reads most naturally on a sparse lash line.

Beginners. There is no magnetic alignment to get right and no dark band to place neatly. Press it on, and if it is not quite level, adjust it.

Clear band or magnetic? Neither is better

They solve different problems, and plenty of our customers own both.

Clear band gives the most undetectable finish, but it gives you no lash line definition at all. If you like a defined eye, you either draw your own liner or you choose a magnetic style instead. Magnetic lashes give you that definition built in, and they come on and off in seconds without waiting for anything to dry.

Are clear band lashes reusable?

Yes. All Youthphoria lashes are reusable regardless of the band. Peel the dried liner off the band gently after each wear, store them flat in their case, and they will last you months.

Do not soak them. Over-exposure to water breaks the band down. Clean them only when liner has actually built up.

How to apply clear band lashes

  1. Swipe the Crystal Clear Adhesive Eyeliner along your lash line, a little thicker than you would draw normal liner.
  2. Wait for it to turn from white to clear. This usually takes 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. Press the lash on from the inner corner outwards, using a lash applicator or your fingertips.
  4. Hold for a few seconds. That is it.

If the lash lifts at the outer corner, you did not wait long enough for the liner to go clear. Remove it and start again.

Frequently asked questions

Are clear band lashes magnetic?

No. Clear band lashes contain no magnets. They attach with the Crystal Clear Adhesive Eyeliner. This is the single most common mix-up we see, and it is why a magnetic liner will not hold them.

Can I use clear band lashes with magnetic eyeliner?

No. There is nothing magnetic in the band for the liner to grip. Use the clear adhesive liner.

Do clear band lashes work if I have no natural lashes?

Yes. The band adheres to your eyelid skin rather than to your own lashes, so it does not need natural lashes underneath.

Which clear band lash is the most natural?

Fantasy, at 5 to 9mm. It is the shortest lash in the range and the one to choose if you want the lash line filled in rather than lengthened.

Are clear band lashes safe for sensitive eyes?

The clear liner is Australian AICIS compliant and free from latex and parabens. As with any cosmetic, patch test on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before wearing it near your eyes. If you have a known adhesive allergy, patch test first.

How long do clear band lashes last?

The lashes themselves last months with proper care. A single wear lasts as long as you need it to, and they come off whenever you choose to remove them.

The kit pairs your clear band lash with the adhesive liner it needs, which is the part people most often buy separately by mistake.
