Our founder Shirley is a pharmacist with a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Sydney. That took her into years of compounding pharmacy, working alongside dermatologists and cosmetic physicians and formulating dermal products to exact clinical specifications.
In 2012 she turned that expertise into a business, founding Youthphoria in cosmeceutical skincare. The study never stopped: a Diploma of Personal Care Formulations, active membership of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists, and further training in naturopathic nutrition and skin therapies. Along the way she qualified as a skin therapist and a cosmetic chemist, someone who can both read an ingredient list and write one.
Then in 2017 she brought all of it to lashes, with the same thoroughness. Shirley is a 5x qualified lash technician and has been lashing since 2017.
